This one’s been a long time coming. In July, I was due to make a trip over to the USA. I was pretty nervous about it but decided that the best way to get over my nerves would be to find something truly delicious to knit. I had a skein of Manos Silk Blend in the gorgeous gold colourway sat in my stash, so I visited my favourite yarn shop, Purl City Yarns in Manchester, to see if they had a colour which would compliment it. As soon as I saw the gold on the shelf next to the blue, I knew I had to do something with those colours!

It certainly did the trick of keeping me relatively calm on the long plane journey (yes, you can fly with knitting needles, but I recommend taking interchangeable circulars for peace of mind) and the yoke was almost finished by the time I flew back in to Manchester the following week.
