The above is something I’ve found myself saying far too often. Ironically at first, but over the past year it’s actually come true so it’s no surprise that on the ferry home from Shetland last month, a foxy little design popped into my head.

I’d clearly absorbed a little of the taste of Shetland while I was there too, using some of the colour-banding that I’d seen everywhere. It’s taken me ages to get round to photographing this one though – I finally managed to get a shot of Alice modelling it for me on our trip to Zurich this weekend to see Tegan and Sara. By the way, if you don’t know who Tegan and Sara are, you absolutely have to check them out.
You can get Fox Isle either on its own for £3 or as part of Shetland Story for £10.
Anyway, while poking around, I couldn’t help but admire some of the other awesome foxy designs out there at the minute. Here are some of my favourites.

- Another one we featured in Knit Now – Vanessa Mooncie’s fab fox hat from her animal hats book.
- I love Ella’s Intrepid Fox – I kinda want to knit a huge version as a snuggly sofa cushion.

p.s. If you want to buy any of my designs, today is the day to do it! I’m taking part in the Indie Design Gift Along on Ravelry, and all of my patterns and ebooks are discounted by 25% with the code “giftalong” until tomorrow.
